Intro to Serging with the Overlock Serger.

Basics from threading to a variety of construction techniques, seams and hems. Each week we will make a project that utilizes new skills.

Cost: $170.00 (4 weeks 2 hours per week)

What it is: Unlock the magic of this amazing machine and lose the fear in a ton of fun. Each week we will learn how to play with our sergers to make unique projects and inspire new ways to create with this multidimensional tool.

***Class Notes: Your Own Working Overlock Machine required, your manual and quick reference Threading/Stitch guide, 4/5 separate bright color spools of serger thread to correspond to your machine threading. Correct machine Needles for fabrics, screwdriver, serger tweezers.

Week 1:One 1 yard of woven cotton Fabric.

Week 2: One 1 yard of Silk or compatible lightweight material, sheers, etc.

Week 3: 2 yards of Knit material. 4/5 thread spools of same color thread. Additional serger feet that you have for your machine.

Week 4: Potential upcoming sewing project in which you will utilize the serger to make.
